Ben Schoeman plays Robert Schumann at KKNK 2016
The Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees 2016 hosts pianist Ben Schoeman in a recital programme that includes masterpieces of the great Romantic composer Robert Schumann (1810-1856). This programme will be different from the Woordfees concert earlier in March in Stellenbosch. Schoeman will perform Schumann’s Carnaval (Op. 9) and Symphonic Studies (Op. 13) and also play three Preludes (Book 2) by Claude Debussy (1862-1918): Brouillards, Ondine and Feux d’Artifice. Schoeman is no stranger to the KKNK and has been awarded the Kanna and KykNet Fiesta Awards for his Liszt recitals there in 2011. Mr. Schoeman will give two performances at the NGK Park, Oudtshoorn: 27 March at 6pm and 28 March at 11am.
